Meet the team

Cassandra Edwards

Founder, Clinical Supervisor, Therapist

What defines Cassandra (they/she) most as a clinician is the authentic connection they build with clients and the real growth experienced as a result. Whether you're navigating past trauma, anxiety, relationship issues, gender and sexual identity concerns, or just needing support, therapy can help you regain autonomy and confidence.

Cassandra has been serving clients from marginalized communities for nearly 5 years. As a queer, non-binary, Mexican-American, neurodivergent person, they work to address the complexity and nuances of intersectional identities and the impact of oppressive systems, including within the therapy space itself. They take a collaborative, eclectic approach, drawing primarily from IFS, psychodynamic, ACT, relational, and somatic therapies. Throughout the work, Cassandra will check in with you regularly about how sessions are landing and shift their approach to meet your evolving needs.

Mel Fielding

Clinical Intern

Mel (they/she) is a queer, poly, & non-binary therapist-in-training pursuing their Master's in Mental Health Counseling & Wellness whose personal identities shape their collaborative and flexible approach. They prioritize meeting a client where they are and working together toward meaningful growth and authentic connection, using an anti-oppressive lens and focusing on building trust and safety.

They are super passionate about working with queer, poly, and gender non-conforming individuals to process and heal from trauma (both personal and systemic) and develop new ways of relating in the world. Additionally, as an INELDA-trained death doula, Mel is also focused on helping those experiencing all types of grief and those at the end-of-life with meaning-making, healing, and reconnection.

Outside of clinical work, she loves a good craft project, writing poetry, and spending time with human and feline companions alike, with a big weakness for tchotchkes and trinkets.
